How it works
STEP 1
Reserve a slot
The registration deadline is the final date where you can reserve a slot to guarantee that your questions will be included in the survey. After the registration deadline, you'll have two weeks to submit your questions.
STEP 4
Receive the data
Once fieldwork is completed, we will send you the results in crosstabs and in summary charts. The entire process from registration deadline to data delivery typically takes 2-3 months.
Frequently asked questions
Omnibus specific FAQs
The overall sample size across all countries varies by regional setup. At the individual country level, we always aim for at least n = 1.000 for larger countries (above 5 million inhabitants) and at least n = 500 for smaller countries (with less than 5 million inhabitants). The specific sampling setup can be found in the individual omnibus pages.
We run the global and regional omnibus at fixed dates between two and four times per year. For the specific (registration) dates, please refer to the individual omnibus setups.
Clients can typically include between 1 and 10 mobile-optimized questions per wave. Larger blocks may be accommodated on request.
Yes—custom demographic questions can be added, provided they fit mobile-first question constraints. These will only be asked of your respondents.
Yes. Standard demographic cuts (e.g., age, gender, region, education) are included. Custom cuts may be available upon request.
The registration fee is not refundable, but if you decide to not submit questions for an Omnibus where you reserved a slot, the registration fee can be credited against a future Omnibus survey within a 12-month time period.
Sampling & respondent recruitment
Nira Data uses a mobile-first, nationally representative sampling methodology based on quotas for age, gender, region, and other relevant demographic variables. We rely on high-quality mobile panels and direct recruitment across a wide range of digital channels.
We apply demographic quotas during data collection and weighting adjustments after fieldwork to match official population benchmarks (e.g., census data). This ensures results accurately reflect the target population.
Our sampling frame is built from diverse recruitment sources including mobile apps, ad networks, social media, and opt-in research panels. This helps us reach otherwise underrepresented groups.
Nira Data currently covers a growing list of global markets. We can provide nationally representative samples in most developed markets and reliable urban/online population samples in others.
Data quality & fraud prevention
We use a multi-layered quality system that includes:
- Device fingerprinting
- Response time analysis
- Duplicate detection
- Straight-lining checks
- Pattern detection for fraudulent behavior
- Geolocation validation (where applicable)
Yes. Respondents who fail quality checks are flagged in real time and removed before final data delivery.
We use behavioral analytics, inconsistent answer detection, network-level checks (VPN/proxy detection), and CAPTCHA-style procedures where relevant.
All datasets go through automated cleaning plus human review to ensure accuracy and reliability.
Survey design & questionnaires
To ensure optimal performance on mobile devices, we currently only support:
- Single-choice
- Multiple-choice
To guarantee consistent performance across devices and operating systems, and to reduce respondent burden, we prioritize question formats that are fast and intuitive on smartphones.
Yes, questions can have a maximum of 70 characters or about 15 words, and answer options a maximum of 35 characters each, or about 7 words.
We recommend limiting surveys to 15–20 questions. Longer surveys risk higher dropout and lower-quality responses.
Support varies by market. Images are typically supported; videos are restricted due to load-time variability across devices and network conditions.
Fieldwork & response collection
Most standard samples (e.g., N=1,000 in major markets) can be completed within 24–48 hours. Harder-to-recruit audiences may take longer.
Responses are collected throughout the day, with peaks during commuting hours, evenings, and weekends.
No, respondents do not get paid or receive any other form of incentive for their responses. This enables us to eliminate fraud and poor response behavior (speeding, inattentive responses etc.)
Weighting & adjustments
Yes, when applicable. Weighting variables typically include age, gender, region, and sometimes education or ethnicity depending on the market.
We use industry-standard rim weighting (raking) to align sample distributions with official population benchmarks.
Privacy & compliance
Yes. All data collection activities adhere to GDPR and other applicable data protection laws.
No. Surveys are anonymous unless a project specifically requires otherwise (e.g., opt-in recontact studies), in which case consent is explicitly obtained.
We do not survey children under 16 and always comply with COPPA, GDPR-K, and local regulations.
Technical & device considerations
Yes, our surveys are optimized for smartphones. While respondents may theoretically complete them on tablets or desktops, mobile represents the vast majority of responses.
We design questions to be device-agnostic and ensure consistent rendering across iOS, Android, and varied screen sizes.
We support most global languages. Translations can be provided or integrated if supplied by the client.
By default, most questions are mandatory, unless a response category like “None of the above” or “Prefer not to say” is included.
Deliverables & outputs
Common formats include:
- CSV
- XLSX
- JSON
- Dashboard (if applicable)
Troubleshooting & support
Our team can review, edit, or fully build questionnaires to ensure alignment with mobile-first best practices.
We’ll notify you early, suggest alternative targeting, or modify quotas to maintain feasibility and quality.
Yes — Nira Data supports continuous and repeated measurement for tracking research.
